Why this trip exists
You can’t be in your inbox and read water at the same time. That’s the whole point.
What most of us haven’t experienced is a space to be a beginner, to move slowly, to let the body lead, to sit in silence that actually says something.
Touch Grass is not a wellness retreat or coaching with a view. It’s an offline reset built around fly fishing, where presence, patience, and a willingness to look silly before you look skilled are what matter most.
Limited to just 10 women, conversations carry, connections deepen, and everything moves at the rhythm of the river.
The river doesn’t care about your deadlines. That’s what makes it powerful.
4
DAYS ON THE WATER
Expert guided instruction and wade trips with Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures.
10
WOMEN MAX
An intimate cohort to ensure high-trust and support. No strangers by day two.
0
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
First cast to seasoned angler, all skill levels guided with intention.
What you’ll walk away with
A nervous system that feels genuinely reset, not from a massage, but from four days of learning something hard in a place that doesn’t care how you perform.
A beginners mind, reactivated, where humility and curiosity return to remind you how you built anything meaningful in the first place.
A small, high-trust community of women who have stood in cold water and learned something new together, which becomes its own kind of vetting.
A practice you can return to, where fly fishing is a skill you can take home, and the level of presence it demands starts to shape how you move through life.
Clarity that comes from silence, the kind you can’t force or think your way into, only create space for and allow to arrive.

YOUR GUIDES
Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures
With decades of experience on Montana’s premier waters, their guides offer more than instruction. They create the conditions for meaningful shift. Their approach is shaped by expertise, patience, and a deep respect for what the river can do to even the most hardened founder.
Rachel Finn
Rachel Finn is a fearless, free spirit that everyone loves. After attending Yale University in graduate school, she followed her heart and began guiding up in the Adirondacks some 30 years ago. Rachel is also a wonderful artist, friend, and inspiration to never grow up and never stop chasing your passions.
Finn is a well-known presence in the Adirondack guide scene throughout the fishing season. Serving as the head guide at the Hungry Trout Fly Shop in Wilmington, New York, she accompanies clients on expeditions across the numerous rivers, streams, and ponds nestled within the breathtaking mountains. Additionally, for many years during July and August, Rachel lead summer float trips in Alaska. She holds positions as a pro staff member for Scott Fly Rods, Airflow, and Nautilus Reels, while also being enlisted by Patagonia as one of their fly fishing ambassadors. Finn also is an ambassador and hosts a couple trips a year for SET Fly Fishing in Argentina. Her expertise has been showcased on ESPN's Great Outdoor Games and the Outdoor Life Network's Fly Fishing Masters.
Lori-Ann Murphy
Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures was co-founded in 1992 by Lori-Ann Murphy alongside a group of extraordinary women who were becoming guides and forging their own paths in a male-dominated industry. Surrounded by an exceptional women-led team, what began as a shared love of fly fishing and adventure quickly grew into something more, a community built on mentorship, skill-building, and the belief that women deserved world-class experiences on the water.
That same year, Lori-Ann founded the Orvis Women’s Fly Fishing School, helping create one of the first formal learning environments designed specifically for women. These early programs laid the foundation for what RWFFA would become: a place where women could ask questions freely, build confidence, and step fully into their potential.
The vision was simple but powerful: to create exceptional fly fishing adventures for women, while offering a safe, supportive space to learn, grow, and connect with others who shared the same passion.
